Stage Manager

Stage Manager

Odd Eyes Theatre are looking for a Stage Manager with technical theatre experience, ideally also in the arena of theatrical live streaming, to come on board for their forthcoming production of ON THE LINE running for one week at the VAULT Festival in London, 1st – 6th February 2022.

The show has received funding from Arts Council and Awards For All, and is paid at the Equity/ITC rate of £494 per week per three weeks rehearsal plus one week show and one week showcases and workshops.

ON THE LINE follows a special day in the life of Kai and Tia, lifelong besties from a housing estate, as they live a Kardashian-like experience at the villa of their super-rich school mate. When a 2K-worth trout fly goes missing, their unbreakable friendship is at stake.

Quick paced, funny and harrowing at the same time, this coming-of-age story looks at the complex balance of our loyalties and the struggles to better ourselves whilst keeping true to the values we grew up with.

Odd Eyes Theatre’s Artistic Director Emilia Teglia is developing the play from an original idea by Cheyanne Thomson and Emily Johnston, both 17 at the time of writing. ON THE LINE deals with topical issues of cultural identity and barriers to social mobility, exposing the challenges faced by young people growing up in the current tough political environment.
